My Favorite Weight Loss Tip

Do you need some help staying focused on your weight loss journey?

I use a lot of tips to help me stay focused on my weight loss goal. Sometimes I fail to use them all everyday and sometimes I get in a habit of not using them for awhile or try to take short cuts.

My favorite tip and one which I think helps me the most is keeping a food log of what I eat through out the day. Which I must admit I've been skipping lately and I realized yesterday I had to get back on track with it.

Last evening I was trying to decide if I could have a Skinny Cow ice cream treat. Well I had not kept my food log for the day. So I tried to back track and remember exactly what I'd eat. Needless to say I'm sure I missed something and didn't really have a handle on if I had some extra room for a treat. If your wondering if I ate the Skinny Cow treat, no I didn't because I wasn't sure I could afford the calories.

If you're serious about staying on track with your weight loss goal. I strongly recommend you get a food log (I use a spiral notebook) and record what you're eating through out the day. It's the very best way to keep yourself accountable.

Oh my the way I also recommend for a very yummy low calorie treat try Skinny Cow ice cream treats. My favorite is the Chocolate Fudge Drum Stick (only a 150 calories, even with the sugar cone).

  1. I know you're right, but I'm terrible about this. I "think" I've kept track in my head all day and then at the end of the day I'm "guest-imating" how close I am to my calorie counts and (unlike you) I figure, "Oh I'm sure I'm good for a little treat!" Needless to say - the scales aren't moving and I'm not making any progress.

    When I'm being more honest with myself I use an online tracker that I can add to with my phone from wherever I am. No excuses for forgetting to write everything down!
