I am off to a slow start this morning. The weather is dreary and cold, one of those days which makes you want to stay in bed.
Yesterday, I realized it was time for me to make a doctors appointment for a check up and blood test so I can get my diabetic medications re-filled. Before I started losing weight, I never had to remember to make appointment for check ups because I was forced to go to the doctor on a frequent basis.
My frequent doctor visits were required due to one bladder/kidney infection after another and in between times I would attract yeast infections caused by the antibiotics, I had to take to cure the other infections. It was like being on a tread mill I couldn't get off of.
There are so many negative health issues caused from being overweight and diabetic others just don't realize the seriousness of the epidemic. From the very bottom of my heart I wish there was some way to make people understand fully what being overweight or obese is doing to shorten their life.
