My Favorite Weight Loss Diet Tip

I hope all of my blogger friends had a great week.

I keep a record of my weight to always keep it up front and center in my life . I weigh every Friday and write it down on my calendar which I keep on my desk.

This morning I was down 10.2 pounds from what I weighed on 1-1-12 BUT I gained 5 pounds the first week in January so I am 5.2 pounds below where I began the new year.

After I weighed and recorded my weight this morning, I was thinking about what the next week will bring on my journey to my 2012 weight loss goal. I thought what can I do to make sure I stay on track.

After thinking about it for awhile, I think my favorite weight loss tip is keeping a log of what I eat throughout the day. It's so easy to pick at food here and there and before you know you have consumed to many calories when there is still a lot of time left in your day.

I have a spiral wide ruled notebook ( the wide rule makes it easier to see and what you have eaten and shouts out to you in bigger print). I write the date at the top of the page and as I eat throughout the day, I jot it down and the calories of what I have eaten. I love it when time for dinner arrives and I have still have 600 or 700 calories left for the day. Sometimes that don't happen and I have to watch very carefully what I consume the rest of the day.
