My Top 10 Diet Tips




Today when I sat down to write on the blog and post on our SlimMax Facebook page, I didn't really have any clue what I was going to write about. And it popped into my head that I should share my top 10 tips which I have used religiously since I started on my weight loss journey. To date I have lost 89 pounds and went from a size 26/28 to a size 16/18.

These tips have kept me on track and totally focused on my weight loss goal.

1) The very first thing I did was prepare myself mentally for the
fact I was not going to lose 150 pounds in just a few weeks.

2) I set 10 lb weight loss goals and tied it to a special event.
Example: 10 lbs by my birthday, vacation or the next holiday.

3) I did not deprive myself of the foods I love. I used portion
control. I bought snack size candy bars for those times I
wanted to cheat. I ate anything I wanted, just less of it.

4) When I ate more than I should have, (don’t kid yourself it
will happen), I didn’t take the attitude that, "I messed up so I’ll
wait until tomorrow to start over." I just was more conscious at
my next meal.

5) I never miss breakfast. It gets your metabolism going and
starts your fat burning furnace. I eat high fiber foods for
breakfast. My favorite is oatmeal, it really fills me up.

6) I eat 5 times a day. Not full blown meals but instead an
apple, cheese and crackers, or half a sandwich. Eating small
amounts keeps metabolism in high gear.

7) I always have several low to no calorie foods on hand. This
is probably my favorite trick. Who doesn’t like an Apple or
Strawberries?

8) I stopped drinking diet soda and replaced it with water or
iced tea and lemonade sweetened with Xylitol. This made a
huge difference in my weight loss success.

9) I weigh only once a week. Getting on the scale everyday is
one of the most discouraging things you can do. I get more
satisfaction seeing more pounds lost over a week than you
could possibly see in just one day.

10) When we go out to eat. I go online to the restaurant's
website before I leave and check out the calories of their
different items. The calories can be found under nutritional facts.

I decide what I am going to order before I get there to keep my
calorie consumption under control.

Without the appetite control and the amazing way SlimMax
stops my craving I would never been able to stick to these
10 tips.
