My daughter has also struggled with being overweight for several years. She has given birth to 4 wonderful kids putting on more weight with each pregnancy.

I have shared before that eating habits are learned behavior and as responsible parents we should be careful with the eating habits we set for our children. I know from experience that is so true. Both my kids struggle with their weight and I feel responsible. In our home I used unhealthy food as a reward or to comfort them.
My daughter in law has done an amazing job with my two granddaughters with establishing healthy eating habits and there is no doubt, they will never struggle with their weight. What is the most amazing is my son's girls don't even ask or want things which are unhealthy for them. In the beginning I will admit, I thought it was unfair the girls weren't given cookies and candy. Now I am very happy to know they will never suffer with weight issues, the way I have for so many years.
