Diet Coke-Not Anymore

Before I started on my weight loss journey, as soon as I woke up in the morning. I would head for the kitchen for a cold diet coke. It didn't matter if it was 5 AM or 10 AM. I always thought, it's diet, no calories, what's it going to hurt? Well I have discovered it hurts a lot of things.

Some scientists say the artificial sweeteners in diet drinks fool your body. The taste buds detect the sweet flavor, but when your body doesn’t actually receive sugar, it stimulates cravings for more sweets. There are 15 calories per teaspoon of sugar, and considering the amount of sugar in everything from desserts, fast food, breads, snacks and fruit juice, you can consume too much sugar and way to many calories, very quickly. Before you even know it, which will cause weight gain.

I have a home based business and spend a lot of time on the computer. After setting at the computer for awhile my feet and ankles would swell. I don't mean just a little. I mean to the point they would look like they were going to burst and my skin would be red, burn and tingle. I kid you not. I would have to lay on the bed and prop my feet on pillows, a couple times through out the day, until the swelling went down. Since I stopped drinking diet coke, my feet and ankles have not been swollen ONE TIME!

Another thing I HATE about diet drinks is I could never sleep. I would sleep maybe 3 hours and then I would be awake for the rest of the night. Now I get 8 hours of sleep and I never wake up through the night. I am so much more productive each and every day.

One of the benefits of SlimMax is it controls cravings. Without it I would have never been able to give up diet coke. It was an addiction for me. In the first few months of my weight loss journey. I would reward myself with a diet coke after loosing so many pounds in a specific time frame. OH MY GOSH, did I look forward to a diet coke reward. I just realized, I don't do it anymore. I never think about diet coke now, much less consider it a reward. Now I drink water, iced tea and lemonade.

Until Next Time .... Keep Smil'n & Stay Healthy!
