Fast Food And Losing Weight

You hear so much about fast food causing the world to be overweight and obese. Well I don't believe it all together or at least to the extent it's being reported in the media.

I'm not saying fast foods are good for you or anyone should have a steady diet of it. Matter of fact eating less fast foods has played a major part in my weight loss success. But do I stay away from it totally? Absolutely not.

Portion control and calories consumption is the key to any safe, realistic weight loss program. By following these two rules I have lost over 80 pounds and have never deprived myself of anything I want to eat.

I never leave the house unprepared though. If I'm going to go out to eat whether it is for fast food or a set down restaurant. I know what I'm going to order ahead of time and how many calories are in what I'm going to eat. I go to the restaurant's web site and check out the nutritional information so I can know what I can eat and what I need to avoid.

A lot of the restaurants have a cool calorie calculator on their sites so you can add into it what you want to eat and it will total your calories for you. Check out a few of the different meal calorie calculators.

McDonald's Meal Calorie Calculator

Burger King Meal Calorie Calculator

Captain D's Meal Calorie Calculator

Most of the time I choose Burger King over McDonald's because their burgers are flame broiled instead of fried but not always.

After you have figured out what you can have at restaurants and stay within your calorie range, you will remember and wont' have to figure it out every time. I have done this for awhile so I know I can have:

Burger King:
Whooper Jr and half order of small fries 510 calories

McDonald's
Hamburger and small fries 480 calories

Captain D's
2 pieces of fish and 2 hush puppies 560 calories

Steak N Shake
Double Steakburger and small onion rings 390 calories.

Of course you can't choose the huge sandwiches or super size the fries but you can make smart choices and still enjoy a fast food meal on occasion.

Friday, I was out at lunch time so I stopped at Burger King, I had a Whopper Jr and a half order of small fries for a total of 510 calories, with the 350 calories I had for breakfast, I knew I had 740 calories left for dinner. Now how simple is that?

Am I a person that has great self control to eat small amounts and quit when I'm still hungry. The answer to that question is no. I'm being very honest when I say I could never do it on my own. I am not disciplined enough. Without the appetite and craving control of SlimMax I could never do it.

Get The Control You Need

The last thing I want anyone to think is I'm promoting eating fast foods on a daily basis because I'm not. But if you want to lose weight and keep it off, it's smarter to take a long term approach to lifestyle changes. It is not realistic to think you will never eat out again or eat only super healthy food. It's not going to happen for the largest percentage of people, so why would you set yourself up to fail and give yourself a reason to feel guilty about your eating habits.

Until Next Time ... Make good choices.

Try This Weight Loss Tip

When you start to get a headache do you take a pain reliever before the pain gets worse or do you take it right away? Most people would answer right away.

Well you should do the same thing to control your hunger. Make sure you eat before you get to hungry. If you eat more often, you are much less likely to overeat, when you do eat.

I know it definitely works like magic for me. I find I get hungry between 3:30-4:30 PM. So I always make sure I take my afternoon SlimMax around 3 PM. So that allows about 30 minutes for the appetite suppression and craving control to kick in.

Until Next Time .... Enjoy your weekend.

Don't Take A Chance With Your Heart!

Don't Take A Chance With Your Heart!

I just had the best medical check up I've had in 10 years. Why? Keep reading for the answer.

Everybody knows somebody who has had a sudden, fatal heart attack, and it's many people's secret fear. More than 300,000 Americans die of heart disease without making it to the hospital each year; most of them from sudden cardiac arrest, according to the American Heart Association. In about half of those cases, the heart attack itself is the first symptom.

Some have asked what is in L-ArgiMax. It is a excellent formula of vitamins, amino acids and ...

The main ingredient in L-ArgiMax is L-Arginine. L-Arginine is a vital amino acid that is best known for its cardiovascular benefits. In the body, l-arginine is converted to nitric oxide, which relaxes the arteries and regulates blood vessel tone and flexibility.

This reduces stress on the heart, helps maintain normal blood pressure levels and blood thickness, and improves circulation and overall cardiovascular function. L-ArgiMax has 6 grams of elemental pharmaceutical grade l-arginine, in each serving. Our biggest competitor only has 5 grams per serving. Again PHT brings to you the highest quality products on the market.

Now for just a few of the other health benefits of L-ArgiMax.

Combats the negative effects of premature cardiovascular aging.
Sweetened with Xylitol to enhance oral health.
May aid in decreasing body fat.
Anti-aging benefits.
Maintains healthy blood sugar levels already in normal range.
May boost energy levels.
Enhances blood flow to vital organs.

I wrote about this last week but there is more to the story. I have had more time to think about it and I feel this is definitely worth sharing.

I'm 58 years old and I watched my Mother and Mother in law die at the young age of 69. Both were obese and my Mom was diabetic. A few years after their deaths I had my own wake up call and realized I was on a pathway to early death. So I started 2 years a go to change the direction I was headed.

Two weeks a go I had blood work done for my upcoming medical check up. Last Wednesday, was my doctor's appointment and I walked out of her office with the best report I've had in 10 years.
My A1c was down from 9 to 6.2 and for a diabetic anything under 7 is considered to be good. My bad cholesterol was 83, down from 200. The doctor said 100 for bad cholesterol is good so I'm better than good. My blood pressure was perfect. Plus I had lost 40 pounds since my last visit, six months a go.

I'm positive my weight loss had a lot to do with my improved health. And I would have never been able to achieve it without SlimMax. However, SlimMax is not the only natural product I give the credit too. As I left the doctor's office I asked myself what have I done different in the last 6 months. The answer is ...

I had been using the new L-ArgiMax formula. It has been reformulated and each time they sent me bags of the formula to test the flavor, the flavors were different with each bag but the formula was the same. I've been taking L-ArgiMax for a long time but not with the two new ingredients.

Pomegranate: Several recent studies have shown significant potential health benefits with pomegranate including, Fights Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer Prevention, Keeps PSA Levels Stable, Prevention of Osteoarthritis, Protects the Arteries, Alzheimer's Disease Prevention, Lowers Cholesterol and Blood Pressure.

Resveratrol: Australian researcher Lindsay Brown, the author an upcoming Resveratrol study says there are many health benefits including: cancer prevention, protection of the heart and brain from damage, reducing age-related diseases such as inflammation, reversing diabetes and obesity, and many more...

I urge everyone to start using L-ArgiMax. Don't wait until it is to late to get on the road to better healthy and a longer life. Your heart needs the health benefits L-ArgiMax provides.

Our new shipment of L-ArgiMax arrives tomorrow and in honor of  Healthy Heart Month there is a SPECIAL sale going on.

The regular retail price of L-ArgiMax is $59.95. Our main competitor price is $82.50.

Weight Loss Buddy

Do you think having a weight loss buddy to keep you accountable is helpful?

Well, I definitely do!

Just this week I had the nicest lady asked me to be her weight loss buddy. I hope my encouragement and tips will help her stay focused on her weight loss goals. Actually I feel a little guilty. I just realized as I shared some tips with her, it also helped me remember where I was at emotionally and my early road blocks as I began my weight loss journey. So thank you Betsy, your my angel this week.

Another thing Betsy and I have in common is our love for God. She said she couldn't imagine a day without giving thanks to Him. I realized, I have never given thanks to God for my weight loss success and He deserves my thanks each day for keeping me focused. I believe all things come from the glory of God. Yes, even weight loss.

In writing an email to Betsy this morning I reflected back on the very beginning of my weight loss journey and my biggest road block in the beginning was wanting to eat when I wasn't hungry. I was definitely an emotional eater. It took me awhile to find away to deal with it.

How did I break the habit of eating when I wasn't really hungry? I started asking myself out loud ... "Am I really hungry"?. Then I would wait 20 minutes, almost every time I would end up not eating because I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to eat. I believe from the bottom of my heart I would have never been able to achieve moving past the "just wanting to eat" without the appetite and
craving control of SlimMax.

If you would like a diet buddy, I am always available to help support, share and encourage you, just send me an email at jmarlin@phtnetwork.com

It is amazing to me how the little things have helped me stay focused on this journey. I am also 100% convinced anyone serious about losing weight has to be mentally prepared.

Do Really Want To Be Healthy?

If you really want to be healthy you can. However, you must focus on your lifestyle. You can't have the attitude to wait until later to lose weight, eat better to lower cholesterol or improve cardiovascular health. Later could be too late!

I'm 58 years old and I watched my Mother and Mother in law die at the young age of 69. Both were obese and my Mom was diabetic. A year after their deaths I had my own wake up call and realized I was on a pathway to early death. So I started 2 years a go to change the direction I was headed.

My weight loss had a lot to do with my improved health. And I would have never been able to achieve it without SlimMax. However, SlimMax is not the only natural supplement I take. I take the following nutritional supplements on a daily basis and I never miss.

1) SlimMax - for weight loss with totally hunger and craving control. Plus glucose control.

Don't Eat Until You Feel Full

I have a bunch of errands to do today but I wanted to pop in and say good morning to my blogger friends and share my thoughts for the day.

There is nothing I hate worse than feeling stuffed and bloated a few minutes after I finish eating. I've often wondered why on earth didn't I stop eating sooner.

Now I know that it takes 20 minutes after I've stopped eating for my brain to send the message that I'm not hungry anymore. If you stop eating when you feel satisfied instead of completely full, you will consume less calories and within in 20 minutes you will be full with no desire for more to eat.

Another way to help you feel fuller and more satisfied with less food is too eat slower and chew your food well. Eating slower gives your stomach more time to start working on the digestive process. When you eat your entire meal in 5 minutes, there is a good chance your will find yourself suffering from indigestion.

Your body uses a ton of energy to digest food and in return burns a lot of calories. Chewing your food 30-50 times helps you to digest your food more easily which can help you lose weight. It also forces you to eat slower. I have to admit I do not chew my food that many times. However, I am going to give it try at least for a week and see if improves my weight loss.

Until Next Time .... Eat slower and chew your food more.
